Baumatic joins existing portfolio of brands including Candy and Rosieres
Following much industry speculation, Hoover has announced the acquisition of Baumatic UK, which will join the company’s existing portfolio of brands including Candy and Rosieres.
A Hoover spokesperson commented: “We are delighted to have acquired such a strong brand and look forward to supporting its future development.
“Baumatic will be a fantastic addition to our current portfolio and this acquisition supports our long term goal of further strengthening our presence in the UK appliance market.”

Established in the UK in 1992, Baumatic entered administration following the failure of related business in the Czech Republic.
Hoover’s representation continued: “We feel the range of Baumatic products further enhances our own portfolio with its comprehensive range which includes built-in appliances, wine coolers, range cookers and free standing cookers.
“This will allow us to provide even more choice for our retailers and the consumer.”
Sintered stone manufacturer Neolith has launched Calacatta Roma and Cappadocia Sunset, inspired by nature and classical architecture, and for use in kitchens or bathrooms walls, floors, in gardens or facades.
They belong to The New Classtone and Fusioncollections which interpret marble and natural stone, respectively, and boast Neolith’s antibacterial NeolEAT technology.
Inspired by Ancient Rome, Calacatta Roma (pictured top) pays homage to Italian Carrara marble, with ochre and grey veins in a white background.
While the Cappadocia region, in central Turkey, with its rock formations formed by volcanoes and underground cities, has inspired Cappadocia Sunset (pictured below).
Just like all of Neolith’s surfaces, Calacatta Roma and Cappadocia Sunset are resistant to heat and atmospheric conditions, are 100% recyclable, and do not contain added quartz to their formulation.
