Trade kitchen supplier Howdens has expanded its Irish network with two new depots, bringing its total of 13 depots operating in the Republic of Ireland.
It has the ambition to open three more depots, this calendar year, taking the total number of sites to 30 depots across all of Ireland.
The new depots are located in Blackpool Cork and Tralee, and the openings will create 12 new jobs in the regions.

They carry stock across all Howdens’ categories, including over 100 kitchen and fitted bedroom collections, joinery, doors and flooring.
Howdens’ rigid kitchen cabinets are made in its own factories and come with a 25-year cabinetry guarantee, which is also offered on its bedroom cabinetry.
Local tradespeople can take advantage of services such as the company’s free home measure and design service, template and fit solid surface worktops, and paint-to-order timber kitchens available in 24 colours.
Howdens is also the exclusive supplier of brands such as Lamona appliances, Oake & Gray flooring and Fuller & Forge ironmongery.
Brian Buchan, Howdens’ regional director for Republic of Ireland, said: “We’re delighted to open the doors to our two brand new depots in Blackpool Cork and Tralee, showing our continued investment in Ireland.
“We are committed to supporting local tradespeople by expanding our bricks and mortar locations and have ambitions to open three more depots before the end of this calendar year.”
Howdens expansion in Ireland follows on from the business opening a depot in Channel Islands.
