“Hundreds” visited MHK at Kbb and met new team

Commenting on the show, sales manager for MHK UK David Morris comments: “MHK is already well-established in the UK, but attendance at KBB is very important for us, as we strive to be a visible and proactive stakeholder in the industry.

“Exhibiting isn’t just about signing up new members, it’s also abotu actively contributing to the conversation and connecting face-to-face with out current membership cohort.”

He continued: “Visitor numbers were the highest in a decade which is great, but, crucially, the feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive.

“We know this year’s stand was effective – it offered one of the most spacious and comfortable areas at the show and almost 500 specialisty coffees were served by our barista team.”

Current members and new prospects were welcomed to the open-plan space to contibute to industry conversations about retailer and supplier expectations of MHK UK.

“We were particularly pleased that the perception and image of the ‘buying group’ concept – which not so long ago was a relatively new concept in the UK – has changed positively in the past five years,” said Morris.

“The clear USPs of MHK membership speak for themselves, from favourable purchasing conditions and payment terms to access to leading brands and suppliers in the UK market as well as MHK’s owned “xeno” kitchen brand which was on display.

“KBB provided the right platform to communicate these benefits in person and feedback was overwhelmingly positive.”

Visitors to the stand were introduced to the team, which now includes Jon Earl and Louise Wheeler.

Regional account manager for the south of England Jon Earl has more than 10 years’ experience in companies such as Hafele and Electrolux.

While Louise Wheeler, who opened an In-toto franchise 18 years’ ago, will support the retailers as office manager and assist with their onboarding process.
