Distributor Ideal Bathrooms has increased its warehouse space after moving to new premises in West Yorkshire.

Ideal Bathrooms increases Northern warehouse space

The company will remain on the Wakefield 41 Industrial Estate but move to a unit that measures 18,000sqft larger than its former site.

According to Ideal Bathrooms, the move will help the firm meet increased demand for its products from Northern customers, as well as allowing it to honour its next-day delivery promise.

Operations director at Ideal Bathrooms Kim Kirby-Earnshaw said: “As the business continues to develop, and the demand for stock availability in the Northern depots continues to increase, there is a requirement for more space; the improved capacity gives us the means to support our customers further.

“The new 45,000sqft single site warehouse gives us an additional 18,000sqft of much-needed capacity, which will strengthen our position with the customers serviced from this site.”

As well as offering more stock, the warehouse also features LED lighting, improving the working environment for staff and reducing the company’s energy consumption.
Kim Kirby-Earnshaw added: “The new site signals our continued commitment to our customers in the North. We’ve also taken a stock injection of over £1million, taking our holding in Wakefield to more than £3.5million, which means we can support both our suppliers and customers with next-day delivery to 99% of our delivery territories.
“With such disruption over the past year, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Ideal Bathrooms is delighted to be in a position to invest so significantly and continue to offer a first-class service to our clients.”
Celebrating its 40th anniversary, Ideal Bathrooms announced its Reward programme at the beginning of 2021.
