Working with the Barratt London specification team, Impey created a range of extended width drainage apertures for 600 wetrooms.

The drainage apertures had to be “quick and easy to install, durable, excellent quality and low maintenance.”

Designed in three parts, they were designed so the plastic floor channel drainage could be installed first and screeded in place, with the tops to be fitted on completion to avoid accidental damage.

It follows on from Impey being the first NBS-listed wetroom manufacturer.

Group sales director of Impey Group Steve Huntley commented: “We’re delighted to be shortlisted for this prestigious award.

“Our R&D team showcased their design flexibility and knowledge in the creation of a bespoke drainage product for Nine Elms Point; it’s wonderful to be recognised by the panel at the AI Specification Awards.

The AI Specification Awards feature 12 categories including Bathrooms, Roofing, Drainage, Stairs and Technology.

The winners will be judged by a panel of experts, including architects and engineers.

Winners will be announced at a lunch in Manchester on February 15, 2019.
