Jewson names Norbord best supplier

Merchant presents Best Overall Supplier Award to board manufacturer

Norbord has been presented Best Overall Supplier 2017 by builders’ merchant Jewson at its recent Jewson Live show.

Manufacturer of wood-based panels, OSB, particleboard and MDF, Norbord was chosen out of 600 suppliers to the builders’ merchant group “for ensuring the availability of its products across all our branches, despite difficult market conditions.”

On receiving the award, Norbord’s Saint Gobain key account manager Jenny Stainton commented: “We are absolutely delighted to win the Jewson Supplier of the Year. This recognises all of the effort that Norbord Europe puts into the Jewson account throughout the year and it’s great to be recognised.”

She continued: “This award is voted for by the Jewson branch network across the UK, as well as the sales teams, the Category teams and the Jewson Executive team. This tells you that the branches appreciate the service they receive from all of the teams at Norbord – the BDM team and managers, internal customer support based at head office at Cowie and logistics to get our products to all of the branches. This is the third time in five years that ‘Supplier of the Year’ has been awarded to Norbord and of course we are extremely happy.”
