Keller awarded German quality standard

Dutch kitchen manufacturer Keller Kitchens and its parent company DKG Group have been awarded a German quality mark for its utility room schemes.

Dutch kitchen manufacturer Keller Kitchens and its parent company DKG Group have been awarded a German quality mark for its utility room schemes.

Keller awarded German quality standard

The GS quality standard (Geprüfte Sicherheit – meaning ‘approved safety’) is a German quality mark awarded to furniture that meets the highest safety standards.

Carried out by the TÜV Rheinland in Germany, the utility range which was launched nine months ago, was tested on various aspects including stability, durability and mechanical safety.

As part of the process, the inspector also visited the DKG kitchen factory for a review of the production facilities.

National sales manager in the UK for Keller Tim Spann, commented: “The Keller and DKG team is extremely proud of this massive achievement; the design team works tirelessly all year round to produce safe, design-led, high-quality, sustainable and attainable products and receiving a recognition like this makes it all worthwhile.”

Keller offers 2,050 NCS and finishes, claimed to be the highest in the kitchen industry, along with a range of cabinet options.

In addition, the company has been a carbon neutral kitchen manufacturer since 2017 and is on the journey to becoming carbon negative, having been awarded Level 5 on the CO2 Performance Ladder.
