Dutch kitchen manufacturer Keller and its parent company DKG are collaborating with Plantics to investigate how hemp or roadside grass can be used to manufacture kitchens.

Dutch kitchen manufacturer Keller and its parent company DKG are collaborating with Plantics to investigate how hemp or roadside grass can be used to manufacture kitchens.

Keller investigates hemp to manufacture kitchens

According to the companies, the advantages of hemp are that it is strong, grows fast and can be cultivated on a large scale.

Founded in 2014, Plantics is a spin-off from the University of Amsterdam and has developed bio resins that bind hemp and grass together to create bio-materials which replace plastics and are carbon negative.
