Kitchen retailer Nick McNally is cycling from Land’s End to John o’ Groats to raise £4000 for Cancer Research UK.

The director of Edinburgh-based Kitchens by Nick McNally, forms part of  The Quad Squad, which includes a trio of friends who came together as novice bike riders and have been in training since March.

The challenge is expected to take 12 days and will start on September 2, in Cornwall, on the South West coast of England.

The Quad Squad will then travel up through the English countryside across the border and into Scotland.

The next stage will involve navigating their way round lochs and over mountains and eventually arriving on the North coast of Scotland to reach John o’ Groats.

Nick McNally commented on the trip ahead: “The Quad Squad will pedal the world famous 916 mile cycle from Land’s End to John o’ Groats through villages and towns, taking in the landscapes whilst making friends, memories and raising vital funds along the way”.
