The event told the brand’s story in an experience designed to appeal to all five senses – sight, touch, sound, smell and taste –  with entry through a KitchenAid refrigerator door.

It featured five rooms – shaped in the number 100 –  for visitors to use all their senses to experience the kitchen and demonstrate how KitchenAid has developed since the launch of its stand mixer in 1919.

Channel controller of KitchenAid Lee Collett said: “KitchenAid’s 100 year anniversary is a momentous occasion.

“Since the birth of the renowned stand mixer in 199 and its first dishwasher in 1949, KitchenAid has built on the legacy of these icons to create a complete portfolio of appliances and accessories.

“Today’s appliances, with their professional performance, artisan quality and iconic design, empower makers to explore their culinary creativity and make special memories in the kitchen.

“The 100th anniversary event honoured these memories in a playground for the senses.”

Collett continued: “KitchenAid is also looking to the future as we celebrate the innovation, originality and creativity that will inspire the next century of makers.”

KitchenAid has recently opened a cookery school at its London Experience Store.
