Kutchenhaus Canterbury is co-owned by Rodney Gaskell and Philip Allen with joint 50 years’ experience designing kitchens and in retail management.

It is the second showroom for the pair, who already own a Kutchenhaus showroom in Rainham, Kent.

Rodney Gaskell commented: “Philip and I are pleased to take the next step in our journey as business partners, opening our second Kutchenhaus showroom and bringing high-quality, German-engineered kitchens to Canterbury and the surrounding area.”

He continued: “We’re both incredibly passionate about this industry and together we work well as a team.

“We each have our own skills, and this works perfectly for us. It’s honestly more of a hobby than a job and we see ourselves as lucky as we’re in control of our own destiny.

“We want to impress our clients from a service point of view and deliver their dream kitchen.”

Co-owner, Philip Allen added: “Every day is different, and every client is different, so it’s a very creative job.

“Our experience means we have years of examples to call on from memory to help us create beautiful new spaces, bespoke for our clients – we’re looking forward to these early months.”

Speaking about the business, Lord Mayor, Cllr. Jean Butcher commented: “It was a pleasure to officially open the new Kutchenhaus Canterbury showroom and to explore the space and chat with guests. An added bonus of the day was the money raised for charity, showing the generosity of those in attendance.

“It’s fantastic to see a new business open in Canterbury and I wish them every success.”
