He has honed skills in new business development, key account management, strategic planning, team leadership, and change management.

With a BA (Hons) degree in Finance, Shaw also possesses an understanding and analysis of financial reports and management accounts, which will help inform Laminam’s business strategy.

Commenting on his appointment, Gavin Shaw said: “When I heard about the project Laminam were planning for the UK, I knew it was something I had to be involved with.

“Having launched a stone brand in the KBB industry, previously, I know what is involved to bring a brand to market.

“But the most crucial aspect is the product itself and coming from a fabrication background, I could see how fabricator-friendly Laminam is and how easy it is to fabricate compared to similar products.

“I knew that as soon as kitchen designers see the wonderful selection of colours and textures; and worktop fabricators start to work with Laminam, everyone will realise what an amazing product it is.

“We just need to get out into the marketplace and make everyone aware of Laminam.”

President for Laminam in North America Philip Eeles said: “Gavin and I used to work together at Cosentino and he made a huge impact on the Company at the start of its UK expansion.

“When the Laminam UK MD opportunity arose, I knew Gavin would absolutely be the right person for the role.

“His proven leadership and vast industry experience will undoubtedly drive Laminam to new heights in the UK market.”
