Deadline for award entries closes August 14, 2015

Architects, interior designers, retailers and manufacturers, it is your last chance to enter the Society of British International Design (SBID) awards, as the extended deadline comes to a close on August 14, 2015.

Established in 2011, the awards were created to recognise, reward and celebrate design excellence from super luxury projects to limited budgets.

The awards programme includes KBB Project, Hotel Design, Retail Design and Intelligent Design. This year also sees the addition of Office Design and Healthcare Design, bringing the total of award categories to 14.

Each category undergoes a two-tier judging process by panels of industry experts for technical content and aesthetic creativity, and evaluates elements such as brief compliance, budget, health & safety, and fit-for-purpose design.

Entrants also get the opportunity to promote their submission once the finalists have been announced as the public will be invited to vote for their favourite projects online.

The panel of judges this year will include Lewis Carnie, head of programmes at BBC Radio 2 & 6; Sir Michael Dixon, director at the National History Museum, London and Robert Hudson, chief executive of the National Association of Shopfitters.

They add to the existing line-up of Kevin Mau, senior creative director at The Boeing Company; Ben McOwen Wilson, director of content partnerships at YouTube; Jane Preston, facilities manager UK, Real Estate & Workplace Services at Google; David Lewis, managing director of Sunseeker London; Mathew Dalby, creative director at The Studio at Harrods; Carolina Calzada, managing director at Global Color Research and Theresa Dowling, editor and group editorial director for Progressive Market Intelligence (FX, Blueprint).
