Creations from Konstantin Grcic and Toan Nguyen

Using its SaphirKeramik, Laufen is set to unveil two conceptual basins at the Design Junction exhibition, which takes place at The Sorting Office on New Oxford Street in London from September 18-21. They have been created by international designers Konstantin Gcric and Toan Nguyen, using the material which was launched by Laufen at ISH 2013, allowing the creation of slimline pieces.

According to Laufen SaphirKeramik is twice as resistant as traditional ceramic and more ecological, as it uses less material and water in the mix, resulting in lighter pieces. It can also allow the manufacturer to create sanitaryware with a curvature of up to 1-2mm instead of the maximum 7-8mm achieved using conventional ceramic.

Go further and find out the trends for sanitaryware, suitable for small UK bathrooms.
