Business to be centralised in Hadfield, Derbyshire

LDL Components will centralise its business at its Northern premises in Hadfield, near Glossop, in Derbyshire, which will see the closure of its Bath office.

The move follows a review of the business and was decided upon to “reflect its commitment to a consistent improvement and future development”.

Formed in 2010, when Bath-based business Lord Distribution and OLM limited in Hadfield merged, the company reports there has always been the challenge of working from two sites 170miles apart.

Following growth of the business, which the company reports is continuing with its LDL 3D drawer assembly function, the directors have decided to centralise the company’s functions.

Managing director of LDL Matthew Lord commented: “We are confident this move benefits everyone, ensuring greater consistency for our customers. Regrettably, this move will result in the closure of the Bath office in Spring 2018.”

The company plans to introduce a showroom and enhance the training facilities at its Hadfield location in the first half of 2018.
