The core business areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, fires and stoves, tiles and flooring, outdoor living and Calor gas will be complemented by fine art, lighting, smart home technologies, gifting and interior design.

Last year, Bell of Northampton opened a £250,000 extension and invested in ecommerce, which now accounts for 20% of its business.

Lee Ferris commented: ““Bell of Northampton has been a permanent fixture in the town for more than 120 years and it is a privilege to take over the reins and steer it into its next phase,” said Lee.

“Last year saw us grow our offer significantly and we have no intention to rest on our laurels. In fact, after over 80 years of selling kitchens designed by other brands, we have just launched our own range of kitchens, including a smart kitchen.”

“During my last 30+ years at Bell of Northampton, I have worked in retail sales, business to business sales, and e-commerce and marketing, selling kitchens, bathrooms, fires and stoves, and tiles and flooring.

“I was also lucky enough to have worked with, and been mentored by, some great role models during my time here. Now, I can use this experience to work with my colleagues and drive the company forward.”

He continued, talking about the company’s expansion: “Over the last few years we have added a select group of concessions within our store that are complementary to our brand ethos and add to our proposition, as well as our very own Love Lunch Café.

“Now we are close to having completed our ‘one stop shop’ concept, we will focus on giving the very best service to our customers that we can. We will do this by developing and coaching our managers and staff who really do care for the business and its clients.

“All of this together under one roof makes us a very unique, one-stop destination store for the main fixtures and dressings for your home.”
