South West London retailer named among the 100 small businesses in the UK

South West London-based kitchen, bathroom and bedroom retailer Lime Kitchens has been named among the 100 small businesses in the UK to be celebrated by Small Business Saturday.

Taking place on December 5, Small Business Saturday is a dedicated day for small business and Lime Kitchens will be among those featured, one per day, for the 100 days leading up to Christmas.

Last year the campaign was featured by all major media, trended at number on Twitter during the day and received around 3.5million views on its Facebook page. Around 16.5million adults supported a small business on Small Business Saturday.

Co-owner of the business Kayleigh Glinn commented: “Here in the showroom we propose to host an open day event for Small Business Saturday with free canapés and drinks, where people can pop in and have a free design consultation. The whole family will be welcome and there will be some entertainment for children. Our design and project staff will be on hand to answer any questions and discuss and style idea. We’re planning a few sponsored events in aid of local organisations as well.”

National campaign director Michelle Ovens commented: “Although the campaign focuses on one day, the goal is to have a lasting impact on small businesses by changing mind-sets, so that people make it their mission to support small businesses all year round. Most people in this country own a small business, work for a small business or know somebody who does, so supporting a small business on Small Business Saturday is absolutely personal.”
