Organiser to concentrate on kbbBirmingham and kbbLondon
Organiser of the May Design Series, UBM EMEA Built Environment has closed the event, concentate on more targeted niche events, following exhibitor and visitor feedback.
Instead, UBM will concentrate on its Sleep, Decorex International shows and kbb shows, which will alternate between Birmingham and London.
Speaking about the decision, portfolio director Alison Jackson, portfolio director at UBM EMEA Built Environment, said: “We’ve decided to cancel May Design Series and put our efforts into our niche market events as our exhibitors and visitors have informed us they want a more curated experience.

“In a world of information overload, our visitors need a focused event that exhibits the best and new product and thinking within that sector and takes a deep dive into the future of the sector, engaging with new ideas and trends and networking opportunities within that niche of the industry.”
UBM EMEA Built Environment reports over the last two years visitor numbers at Sleep have increased by 10%, while Decorex, which was relocated to Syon Park in 2014 has experienced an 8% increase in visitors.
In addition, according to UBM kbb Birmingham 2014 “enjoyed its largest number of exhibitors ever” and Ecobuild achieved a 5% growth at its last edition at the beginning of March 2015.
