Commercial director of Merlyn Showering Barry Hoyne says there is a huge trend in people looking for quality
Q: What is your story of your stand at kbb Birmingham?
A: We are launching four new ranges of products. We’ve got Arysto 6, Arysto 8, we’ve got a range of black shower doors and sliding doors and we’ve got a new curved shower wall as well. This show is all about launching new products for us.
Q: What has the reaction been like?

A: The reaction to the stand has been great. It’s great to be here. It’s great to see our customers. It’s great to show our new products in such a great environment.
Q: How does the show compare to previous years?
A: Looking at last year, the numbers are up, the footfall is up. I think the industry, as a whole, is picking up again and it’s great to see.
Q: How could you allay retailers’ fears about trading in an uncertain climate?
A: There has been a huge trend in people seeing the value in bathrooms, whether it be in shower enclosures, sanitaryware or shower valves. I think from that point of view, and a retail point of view, it can be nothing but good news
