Factory expansion will almost double capacity

Manufacturer of sintered stone surfaces Neolith is set to open a fourth production line at its headquarters in Castallon, Spain, in early 2018.

The line will almost double production capabilities and will focus on manufacturing 3mm and 6mm thicknesses in 3600 x 1200mm, 3200 x 1500mm, 2600 x 1200mm and 2800 x 1500mm sizes.

Incorporating a two storey kiln, the line will enable Neolith to meet an increase in global demand for residential and commercial projects.

Last year, manufacturer of Neolith TheSize reported sales revenue of 100million Euros.

Marketing director Mar Esteve Cortes commented: “A further production line is a hugely significant step for us. Not only is it a reflection of the brand’s rapid growth over the last two years, but it positions us to exponentially expand our share within this highly competitive sector.

“We are now the only company in our sector to have five kilns fully devoted to sintered stone. This offers us essential flexibility to deal with more short-lead enquiries, and guarantees the capacity to deliver a larger number of confirmed projects.”

She added: Furthermore, with four new surfaces, two new finishes and 15 further 20mm slabs introduced for 2018, this new line ensures we can process the large variety of colour-specific order processed at any one time.”

Neolith will be exhibiting at kibb Birmingham, which follows on from its presence in 2016.

This increase in manufacturing capacity will be complemented by investment in Neolith’s global brand presence, with showroom confirmed for international cites including Tokyo, Madrid and Ramallah.

A further three international showroom sites will be planned over the coming year.

Esteve Cortes said: “From a marketing perspective, having the ability to directly engage and interact with our audience is crucial to developing new business and nurturing existing relationships. As such, a major aspect of our 2016 business plan has been to invest in our presence in existing markets and also explore emergent ones.

“Neolith showrooms offer the best way to introduce and educate architects and specifiers, allowing them to discover how they can bring their interior or exterior design visions to life and discuss how to work with the material efficiently and effectively.”
