Offering affordable luxury, Coalbrook is a new bathroom brand offered by bathroom distributor Davroc which is set to open a showroom in London, this month.

The name of the industrial-inspired brand takes its name from Coalbrooksdale, the site of the world’s first iron bridge.

There are two ranges in the collection – Domo and Decca – which include a selection of brassware, spanning deck and wall-mounted basin mixers, deck and freestanding bath fillers, showers and a complementary accessories range.

All are available in a choice of four finishes, including Brushed Brass, Brushed Nickel, Gunmetal and Chrome.

There are further additions planned for the Coalbrook brand early next year.

The Market Building in Clerkenwell plays host to the industrial-inspired brand, with its showroom space created by interior architects Holloway Li.

The ground floor has been designed to appear like a landscape of industrial chimneys, with ghostly casts of Victorian bathroom wall panels in orange and amber resin to glow like furnaces.

Shower displays are mounted on to “chimneys” and situated beneath chainmail curtains.

A solid stone staircase with rough, quarried edges leads down to a basement where two large, industrial boiler-like structures house working tap displays.

The two-level showroom is also home to Davroc’s Bard & Brazier, with display units fabricated from brass tubing, and Bard & Blackwood bespoke joinery, as well as Phos lighting
