The aim is to encourage consumers back to the high street and drive footfall into independent showrooms, nationwide, with an advertising campaign that runs until the end of November, 2020.

It will see £250,000 of media spend across national and regional newspapers, kitchen publications and home interest titles, promoting KBSA approved retailers and members.

In addition, this will be supplemented by a targeted direct mail and digital campaign to reach “as many consumers who are looking to renovate as possible”.

Commenting on the partnership, Stephen Johnson (pictured) said: “At Quooker, we are committed to helping the industry with our resources and expertise, and it is for this reason that we look forward to partnering closely with the KBSA and its board, to strengthen this vital trade association.

“Working together to build a war chest to support the independent dealer network, it is my hope that we can encourage people back to the high street and back into independent showrooms across the country.”

KBSA national chair Richard Hibbert commented: “This major package, which will benefit not only KBSA members but a global audience of independent retailers, will reach a massive audience and provide a huge boost to business.

“We are immensely grateful to Quooker for kick-starting this initiative and hope that others will join them in coming forward.

“This is the beginning of a long-term commitment by the KBSA to fulfil our aims of protecting, supporting and promoting independent showrooms and the environment in which they operate.”
