Bathroom and tile manufacturer RAK Ceramics has invested over €1million into the opening of a Design Hub, in Via Borgogna 8, Milan.
Opened during Milan Design Week, and created by architectural studio MMA Projects, the 400sqm space is the fourth international outlet for the company, following Dubai, London and Frankfurt.
The Design Hub offers an overview of the group and its brands, including RAK Ceramics for bathrooms and surfaces, RAK Porcelain tableware, Kludi bathroom and kitchen brassware and Elie Saab – a licenced trademark of the fashion brand.

Conceived as an immersive and dynamic space, to inspire architects, interior designers, it has been created to inspire projects ranging from residential to hospitality.
Opening into a double-height space, the showroom features bathroom displays of the RAK-Skin collections, RAK-Remal by Jordanian designer Sahar Madanat and RAK-Cloud by Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà, together with new brassware by Kludi.
Back-lit arches frame the products, while large dimension Maximus slabs slide on a track system to create backdrops.
While a chandelier composed of 86 points of light arranged to form a luminous wave, like the Kludi-Asana shower installation, connect the ground floor with the mezzanine.
The second level is conceived as a space dedicated to creativity, where architects and designers can study projects together.
The central element on the second level is a kitchen, created with 14mm Maximus countertop slabs and CookingRAK induction system, plus area for new kitchen taps by Kludi and the RAK Porcelain collection.
Completing the design hub is a basement area, created as an exhibition of products.
These include the RAK-Valet line by French designer Patrick Norguet; RAK-Des, an homage to the Bauhaus school in new colour variations; freestanding version of RAK-Batu; and Elie Saab collection of high-end bathrooms and surfaces.
