Ralf Marohn has been named managing director of Poggenpohl, following the completion of the company’s acquisition by Jomoo Germany, subsidiary of the Chinese Jomoo Group.
All contractional conditions have now been filled, so the economic transition will take place on September 1, 2020.
Marohn has been an entrepreneur for 28 years and since 2014 he has been CEO of the kitchen manufacturer RWK & Kuhlmann Kuchen which was taken over after insolvency proceedings.

During this time, Ralf Marohn restructured and expanded RWK & Kuhlmann Kuchen.
Marohn commented: “Poggenpohl will remain a German kitchen brand with production in Herford that stands for sophisticated, modern design as well as high quality and reliability.Our customers can continue to rely on the brand promise.
“The jobs in Herford will be retained and the entire team of employees will return Poggenpohl to its old glory and strength.”

Poggenpohl reported it will continue to focus on product design and innovation with investment into regional markets in Europe, USA, China, India and the Middle East.
In addition, the company stated its network of branches and dealers will be expanded to “guarantee the high quality of Poggenpohl products and the best b2b customer service.”
Sintered stone manufacturer Neolith has launched Calacatta Roma and Cappadocia Sunset, inspired by nature and classical architecture, and for use in kitchens or bathrooms walls, floors, in gardens or facades.
They belong to The New Classtone and Fusioncollections which interpret marble and natural stone, respectively, and boast Neolith’s antibacterial NeolEAT technology.
Inspired by Ancient Rome, Calacatta Roma (pictured top) pays homage to Italian Carrara marble, with ochre and grey veins in a white background.
While the Cappadocia region, in central Turkey, with its rock formations formed by volcanoes and underground cities, has inspired Cappadocia Sunset (pictured below).
Just like all of Neolith’s surfaces, Calacatta Roma and Cappadocia Sunset are resistant to heat and atmospheric conditions, are 100% recyclable, and do not contain added quartz to their formulation.
