Celebrating global design, the Red Dot Design Awards has announced the winners of its 2022 Product Design category.

Roper Rhodes Loop illuminated wall-mounted and vanity mirror set

 

Roper Rhodes, Pronorm and Duravit were named among the winners in the kitchen and bathroom categories.

Established for more than 60 years, the Red Dot Design Awards evaluate the best designs of the year, and were chosen by a jury of 48 judges from 23 countries.

Roper Rhodes was presented a Red Dot Award for its Loop illuminated wall and vanity mirror set, which features touch-and-hold controls to customise brightness and colour temperature.

The vanity mirror features a wireless stand that sits on a countertop, but an internal magnetic attachment system  means it can be placed on the wall mirror surface, which also acts as a charging dock.

Marketing director of Roper Rhodes Simon Taylor said: “Our focus has always been to deliver exceptional, innovative product design and we are delighted that this commitment has been recognised with such a prestigious award.

While Duravit was presented Red Dot Awards for its two complete bathroom collections of D-Neo, created by Belgium designer Bertrand Lejoly and Philippe Starck designed Tulip.

“All the products we entered in the competition won an award”, said CEO of Duravit Stephan Tahy “which is testament to the outstanding design work of our teams.”

Pronorm unveils premium brand i-Luminate

Premium kitchen furniture brand i-Luminate from Pronorm

 

Following its UK launch at Kbb Birmingham, Pronorm’s luxury i-luminate kitchen brand also secured a prestigious Red Dot Award.

It is the second accolade for the new kitchen brand, having already been awarded the German Design Award 2022.

The i-luminate kitchen brand features dimmable lighting, integrated into a handle channel, which has been patented by Pronorm.

National sales manager for UK & Ireland at Pronorm Richard Turner said: “We’re thrilled i-luminate has been recognised by the prestigious Red Dot Awards as well as the German Design Awards.

“The new brand received an overwhelmingly positive reaction at kbb and these accolades will only elevate the brand further.

“It offers retailers a very strong and unique proposition for reaching a new audience of customers, while also benefitting from attractive margin.”
