Appliance manufacturer Smeg wins Supporter of the Independent

Appliance manufacturer Smeg has scooped the Supporter of the Independent category at the CIH awards, held at The Dorchester in London.

Smeg UK MD Mike Giddings (pictured right) was presented with the award by the chief executive of CIH Stuart Cook.

Giddings commented: “We are delighted to be singled out for recognition of the hard work Smeg has put in to supporting and developing the independent sector. This award recognises the significant progress Smeg has made in this sector and is very much only the start of the journey for us.”

Channel director –retail for Smeg UK, Paul Barker (pictured with Mike Giddings) added: “Our commitment to continuing the support of the independent sector is of paramount importance to the brand, both in terms of our in-store package, improved terms and displays and offering stronger specialist, local advice for our consumer.”

This award adds to Smeg’s recent triumphs, which includes regional sales manager for the North West and West Midlands  Karen Parker named by Sirius as Best Sales Person of the Year.
