For the first time in its 87-year history, radiator manufacturer Stelrad has launched a range of electric radiators.

Stelrad makes first move into electric market

It follows the acquisition of DL Radiators in 2022, which already had electric products in its portfolio, and complements the company’s objectives to address decarbonisation.

At an event held at Lord’s cricket ground, led by head of marketing UK & Ireland Chris Harvey, Stelrad revealed the 13-strong Electric Series range which offered a choice of 70 products.

It saw the company target four segments – dry electric, electric convector, radiator panel and electric towel warmer.

In its presentation, according to BRG Consult, the electric market was 2.292million units in 2020, with electric underfloor heating as most popular.

Stelrad further revealed the four segments it was targeting was 396,000 units sales in 2020, due to product availability, with electric towel warmers as the largest.

The diversification into electric follows on from the acquisition of DL Radiators in 2022, which already had electric products in its portfolio, and complements the company’s objectives to address decarbonisation.

While the company has entered new markets, Stelrad stated investment in its hydronic solutions is still key to stay number one in the UK market.
