Group sales director UK & Ireland for Coram UK Steve Huntly has been named MD of Coram UK, succeeding John Blackburn who will step down as group MD at the end of November 2020.

John Blackburn has worked for the company for the past six years and has chosen to step down following the company’s move to Somerset.

He commented on LinkedIn: “I have worked with an incredible group of people at Coram and relished the journey we have been on together, growing our market leading Brands : Impey Wetrooms, Coram Showers and Geesa Accessories.

“In 2019, we embarked on a strategic transformation to create Coram UK. The outcome was a consolidated manufacturing site, outsourced warehousing and a head office in Somerset which has simplified the business and driven further growth. Although right for the business, the location of Somerset was not aligned to our family goals.

“This key milestone was the right time to find a new challenge closer to home. I would like to thank Rob Peters (CEO) for his support & understanding in facilitating an exit process that worked for us both. I will be leaving Coram UK at the end of November.”

Blackburn continued: “I am incredibly proud to be able to hand over the reins to Steve Huntly my sales director. It is always an achievement for a company to promote & develop talented, hard working people within the business.

“Transforming the business in 2019 and the COVID crisis this year has been a tremendous challenge for the team at Coram. I want to thank them all for their hard work and commitment. Together we have built a great business they should be proud of. Time for a new adventure.”

Huntly has worked for Coram UK for the past three years and prior to that worked for Elliott Group, Saint Gobain Glass Solutions and Cemex.
