A team of employees from furniture manufacturer Symphony completed a 20-mile charity walk, raising £3,170 for two children’s charities.
The walk saw the team trek from Symphony’s Head Office in Barnsley to Sheffield Children’s Hospital in support of The Children’s Hospital Charity and The Sick Children’s Trust.
The seven-strong team comprising George Burtoft, Emma Watson, Brett Roberts, Robert Newton, Emma Banks, Steven Banks, and Sharon Vurgest embarked on the challenge to give back to charities that have provided support to Symphony employees and their families.

The funds raised have been evenly split between the two organisations, helping to enhance medical care and provide accommodation for families of sick children.
Starting at Symphony’s Barnsley headquarters, the route followed the Trans Pennine Trail, passing through Meadowhall before culminating at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Despite the physical challenge, the group completed the journey in under seven hours, motivated by the generosity of supporters who helped them reach 63% of their fundraising target before the walk even began.
