Bullock established the Pontyclun-based showroom with business partner Lynda Rees in July 2017, after both left their previous industry roles.

Commenting on her award win, Bullock said: “Winning was such a fantastic feeling. Being able to proudly pick up an award as a young entrepreneur for a business in an industry which is predominately male-orientated was rewarding for many reasons.

“I rarely meet any other young women who run a business in this sector, so I felt the award win showed how supportive the public would be to more females taking the reins when it comes to plumbing and design-focused businesses.”

She added: “At 31 and having been in the bathroom industry since my early 20s, I am fiercely passionate about what I do, and I am excited to see what the future holds for my company The Tap End.”

Business partner Lynda Rees continued: “The award was not specifically for a start-up entrepreneur, so Justine was up against others who run long established companies.

“We were thrilled when she took the title because it reaffirmed to us that our vision for The Tap End is a unique concept for our area.”

The Tap End carries brands including Laufen, Hansgrohe, Axor, Cosmic, BC Designs and Majestic.

Although based in South Wales, the bathroom showroom has recently completed a development in Surrey with a Cardiff-based architects’ practice.

The Tap End joins award-winning showrooms such as those who were successful in the Hafele Studio Partner Awards.
