Bathroom manufacturer and retailer filmed by South Korean crew

Established in the UK in the 1860s, the British Thomas Crapper brand has extended its appeal to Asia.

It has installed displays in the ColourLiving showroom in Hong Kong and this has been followed by interest in the brand by a Korean film crew.

A South Korean film crew recently interviewed owner Adam Moseley about the history of toilets and Thomas Crapper’s part in the story.

It was given a tour of the warehouse in Huddersfield and visited Thomas Crapper retailer Bathroom Boutique in Hebden Bridge.

Thomas Crapper has been credited as being the creator of the first bathroom showoom in 1870, and bringing its story up-to-date it was sold to Hartford Holdings last year.

Managing director of Thomas Crapper, Paul Dwyer commented: “When people think of Thomas Crapper they immediately think of its history. It is this heritage that is making the brand so popular internationally, as the Made in Britain goes a long way in Symbolising quality and style.”
