The 99-strong collection spans built-in and freestanding models

TKC has expanded its portfolio of components, accessories, sinks and taps to include a 99-strong collection of built-in and freestanding appliances under the Nordmende brand.

The Nordmende – Smart Living brand spans ovens, microwaves, cookers, hobs, hoods, refrigeration, dishwasher and laundry products, which all have a three year parts and labour warranty and are available within 7/2 hours from order.

Separate literature and POS material is available for TKC customers and the range will be incorporated into the company’s Trade Index catalogue later this year.

Nordmende has a German heritage and was relaunched in Ireland in /2008 by Irish appliance distributor KAL Group.

Marketing manager at TKC, Neil Taggart commented: “We have selected the Nordmende brand of appliances because they have been selling very well in Ireland for almost a decade and we are sure will offer UK customers the levels of quality and reliability that represent real value for money in our market sweet spot. They are not over-distributed in the UK already, as so many brands can be, and this gives our customers a point of differentiation as well as the ease of buying everything they need from us.”

In addition, TKC has invested in its customer service infrastructure, which sees a six-fold increase in telephone line capacity, ‘quick’ button telephone access to key departments and a more flexible service around peak time.

It follows the recent opening of The Gallery, a new product development area for retailers to view existing products and ideas the company may bring to market.
