Larger vehicles allow more stock to be carried from Manchester warehouse

Kitchen door and accessories provider TKC has upgraded its delivery fleet in order to reduce its carbon footprint.

The investment involves several 7.5 tonne trucks being replaced with 8.4 tonne versions and also the purchase of an 18 tonne truck.

These larger vehicles will allow more stock to be carried from TKC’s Manchester based warehouse to the Southern regions. The larger vehicles will also allow for more drop-offs.

This improvement to its delivery fleet is the start of an on-going programme by TKC to reduce its carbon footprint.

Managing director Tom Kelly said: “In essence, we are now better equipped than previously to satisfy our customers’ requirements in a more environmentally friendly manner.”
