Exhibition, Film and PechaKucha talks on Toilet Architecture
Japanese bathroom manufacturer TOTO, which manufacturers products such as the CF Rimless WC, will be hosting Toilet Architecture, a series of events including a film, exhibition and talks at its London showroom, as part of the London Design Festival from September 15, 2014.
The photographic exhibition Toilets: Evolution or Revolution will be curated by Professor Barbara Penner, author of Bathroom 2014, and features the Sanyo Ultrasonic bathing machine (pictured). It takes place from September 15-19 from 9.30-5pm, .
It will be followed by Toilet Architecture: An event powered by PechaKucha, which sees academics, architects and journalists, explore and interpret the subject in 20 slides, each no longer than 20 seconds on September 16.

The line-up of speakers includes Professor of Architecture at UIC and founding director of FAT Architecture, Sam Jacob; author of Bathroom 2014 and senior lecturer at the Bartlett School of Architecture Professor Barbara Penner, founder and creative director of Urban Salon, Alex Mowatt, Co-founder of Trevor Lahiff architects; editor of Kitchens & Bathrooms News Philippa Turrell and founder and director at Roz Barr Architects, Roz Barr.
Concluding the events will be the film Inside Rooms 26 Bathrooms by Peter Greenaway, produced originally for Channel 4, and presents 26 bathrooms in 26minutes. It will be screened on September 17 and 18 at 6pm.
