Chiselwood to represent UK in world-wide design competition

Retailer Chiselwood has been named the UK finalist for the world-wide Sub-Zero Wolf Kitchen Design Contest for a kitchen created in a Victorian listed Rectory, creating a large open area to socialise in the space of an existing kitchen and gym.

More than 1,500 entries were submitted for the competition from across six states in the US and 24 countries, which were shortlisted to 25 finalists from around the globe.

The finalists were chosen by a seven-strong judging panel of architects, kitchen designers and interior designers during a four-day review.

All finalists have been invited to attend the Winners’ Summit and Gala from September 24-27, at Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, California.

Winners will be announced at the gala dinner, across 10 award categories including contemporary, transitional and traditional design, as well as small space and outdoor kitchens, plus first-time entrants.

Commenting on the awards, vice president of marketing for Sub-Zero and Wolf commented: “Sub-Zero and Wolf enjoy a strong relationship with the design community, and for more than 20 years, the Kitchen Design Contest has allowed us to honour the professionals who are constantly working to push the envelope.”
