Having celebrated 40 years of business, Surrey-based independent retailer Walton Bathrooms has been sold to Kallum Bathrooms.
Managing director of Walton Bathrooms James Bagnell will now retire from the industry.
It will see the business join Kallum Bathrooms showroom network which includes a studio in Guildford, and one in Putney, London.

Walton Bathrooms has scooped several industry awards and was one of the first Villeroy & Boch showrooms in the UK, with its Ascot studio one of the largest.
The independent bathroom retailer completes projects in the UK, and in 2008 Walton Bathrooms started to sell bathrooms globally from a logistic centre.
Commenting on his career, James Bagnell posted on LinkedIn: “I have had a fantastic career, and I have had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful people from across the world.
“I have had the opportunity of selling some of the most prestigious brands from, displaying the newest and most innovative styles, across five different showrooms, the company have always been the front-runners in the industry.
“This has been transformational in forming the reputation of Walton Bathrooms to be what it is today.
“I am proud of the achievements the company has made, and I would like to thank my suppliers, colleagues, staff, and my wife Karen for supporting me through the years.
“It will be a huge change for me adapting to this new-found freedom, but I’m looking forward to spending time with my family and celebrating the last forty years of Walton Bathrooms.
“I would like to wish Matthew and his team good luck and best wishes for the future.”
Replying to his post, managing director of Kallums Bathrooms Matthew Kallum wrote: “Thank you, James.
