Aga Rangemaster sold to U.S MIddleby Corporation

Despite a last-minute bid for Aga Rangemaster, Whirlpool is not buying the group as shareholders agreed a $201million takeover by Middleby Corporation, according to Reuters.

Whirlpool confirmed a non-binding bid for Aga Rangemaster last week, at the IFA exhibition which challenged the offer of the U.S cooking equipment manufacturer Middleby Corporation, agreed in principle in July.

The sale includes all Aga Group kitchen appliance brands of Aga Rangemaster, Mercury, Falcon, Marvel, Stanley and La Cornue.
