Whirlpool UK & Ireland moves from Croydon to Peterborough

Following its acquisition of the Indesit Company, Whirlpool has announced its UK & Ireland team and plans to move from Croydon, so its brands will be under one head office in Peterborough.

According to the company, the UK and Ireland business will now become the largest revenue contributor of the Whirlpool Corporation, after the North America region.

The organisation reports it is in touch with over five million UK and Ireland consumers every year. In addition, the acquisition sees it have access to 70 manufacturing and technical research centres around the world. And since the announcement of the acquisition, the manufacturing plans have increased to over 900,000 large appliances to be made in the UK every year.

The UK & Ireland business will be headed up by general manager Maurizio Pettorino,and a management team including commercial director James Goldsmith and marketing director Piero Pracchi.

Although the companies are combined, the brand will operate independently throughout 2015.
