Head office opens academy to train 58 staff, at a time, in design

National kitchen, bathroom and bedroom retailer Wren is refurbishing its head office, The Nest, in North Lincolnshire to incorporate a training academy for its designers.

The training academy has capacity for 58 delegates at a time and 350 new staff are expected to be trained this year, on top of 100 existing managers and designers who will visit for top-up training. Recently-appointed head of training and development, Tina Morton, will lead a team of Wren training experts to help the designers.

Set to open in May, the facility will include three glass, air-conditioned classrooms, two functioning kitchens for appliance master classes, plus measurement facilities to show how to effectively conduct a home measure. In addition, the academy will also include spatial awareness room with moveable cabinets and a giant floor grid to help with planning.
