Da Silva commented on his appointment: “I am delighted to be working alongside Damian and the team at BiKBBI.
“This is a much needed and integral part of the KBB sector, and I have watched with interest the progress of the institute since its inception.
“It’s great to be part of an organisation that champions positivity and is part of shaping the future of the industry that I am so passionate about.’
CEO at BiKBBI Damian Walters added: “The creation of this position marks a significant milestone for the institute and highlights the importance we place on achieving our objectives, which are determined by industry needs.
“In order to achieve these targets, which will ultimately benefit the whole KBB sector, we need to reach the wider industry and there is no doubt that Paul’s extensive knowledge, experience and wide-spanning network, along with his passion for what we are trying to achieve, will be a great addition to our strategic approach.”
One of the association’s objectives is to increase the number of young people in the industry, to fill the skills gap, and the BiKBBI has urged more KBB employers to take on apprentices.
