Bathroom manufacturer VitrA has expanded its UK sales team with the appointment of Darren Bailey as area sales manager for the Midlands.

Bailey will be responsible for VitrA’s Bathroom and Signature collections.

He has had a long career in the bathroom industry, spending 15 years as a showroom manager where he specified high-end products, including VitrA.

Darren Bailey also worked at Davroc as a business development manager.

Commenting on his appointment, he said: “I have always wanted to work for VitrA.  The company has the entire bathroom covered under one roof.

“Understanding the retail perspective will allow me to strengthen relationships with our existing retail partners whilst establishing important partnerships with new ones.

“There are so many exciting innovations planned for 2020, I am delighted to be part of VitrA’s continued growth.”

National sales manager for VitrA Darren Paxford added:  “Darren is well known and respected in the bathroom industry.

“His undoubted experience and reputation will be a real asset to our expanding team.”

VitrA was established in 1942 in Istanbul, Turkey, and became the first Turkish brand to produce sanitaryware in 1958.

The company started its export business in 1983 and has recently invested in manufacturing to increase production of its sanitaryware by 1.1million units to 5.6million.
