Female directors return to Utopia

Liz Green and Amanda Shepherd return to the board as projects director and finance director, respectively

Female directors Liz Green and Amanda Shepherd have returned to the board of bathroom manufacturer Utopia.

Liz Green re-joins the company as  projects director, while  Amanda Shepherd has taken up the position of finance director.

They join the current board made up of joint managing directors Dave Conn and Ian Hall, along with commercial director Pete Penlington

Green previously held several senior roles during her 24 years at Utopia including customer service director.

She has returned to oversee, monitor and manage key strategic projects.

Commenting on her return to the company, Green said: “Utopia has thrived as the UK’s leading bathroom manufacturer for almost 30 years but I’m ready to help push the business forward to the next phase of growth.”

Amanda Shepherd added: “I have returned to Utopia after 11 years of enhancing my experience across a range of industries. I’m delighted to be back at such an important and exciting time for the business.”

Speaking about both appointments, joint managing director Dave Conn said: ‘We are delighted to welcome back Liz and Amanda.

“They bring a wealth of experience and knowledge about our ranges and products that will drive the business forward through the exciting times ahead.”

Utopia Bathroom Group designs and manufactures bathroom suites, furniture and worktops in the UK and supplies a range of shower screens, baths, lighting, tiles, taps and accessories.

It supplies its bathroom products through a network of 600 retailers in the UK and Ireland.

The company has invested £500,000 in board storage and delivery at its Wolverhampton HQ.
