Surfaces distributor IDS has appointed three executives to its leadership team, bolstering the company’s capabilities in sales, marketing and finance.

IDS appoints director trio

Tariq Ahmad joins IDS as sales director, bringing over 30 years of sales experience in the construction industry.

Having held a senior role at Twyford Bathrooms for 28 years and most recently serving as sales and marketing director at Polypipe building products, Ahmad will lead sales strategies across IDS’s portfolio of laminates, worksurfaces, flooring, decorative panel, solid surface and wall panelling.

IDS appoints director trio 1

Chris Coxon has held senior marketing roles over the past 15 years and has been appointed to the role of marketing and commercial director.

He has experience of the building materials and construction sectors, having been head of marketing at Algeco and group head of marketing at Eurocell.

Coxon will oversee all marketing and customer experience functions, as well as product category management.

IDS appoints director trio 2

Completing the trio,  Stefanie Wright has been welcomed as finance director, bringing expertise in the logistics and distribution sectors to the role.

With six years’ experience at NRS Healthcare, a provider of products and services for independent living, Wright has experience of Private Equity-backed businesses.

Her finance career spans roles at British Midlands International and EasyJet, alongside employments with PE-backed Belrock and Phones 4U.
