Iris Dunbar is named president of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Dseigners
At the General Assembly of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI) in Kuala Lumpur, Iris Dunbar was inaugurated as president. She takes over from Shashi Caan, who held the position for five years.
IFI is a global forum for Interiors and has been established in Europe for the past 50 years.
Dunbar is a past president of the British Institute of Interior Design, is currently president and board member of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers.

She was a recent recipient of the BIID Merit Award, in recognition of her dedication to interiors, including founding of The Interior Design School.
In her address on the final day of the General Assembly, Dunbar announced the board is charged with creating a regional model to help increase participation and dialogue within the global interiors community. The mandate for the board term is to “Respect The Past, Change the Present and Inspire the Future.”
