Shower enclosure brand Lakes has appointed a warehouse and logistics manager as it builds on its recent growth and plans for the future.

Lakes appoints warehouse and logistics manager

Kevin Hart brings 40 years of warehouse and distribution experience to the role, with the remit of developing the company’s warehouse management systems and strategies.

He has previously worked in a range of warehouse and distribution roles, including management and consultancy.

Commenting on his new, position Kevin Hart said: “Lakes is an exciting company to be a part of right now, there’s so much work being done behind the scenes to make sure our customers are getting the best products and service possible so as a team, we are all moving in the same direction.

“My first meeting with the directors made it clear to me that this was an open and honest working environment, where everyone is pulling together as a team and knows their role.

“Communication is so key to the success of a business, particularly from a logistical perspective,

“My role now is to ensure that the warehouse and logistics team are working as effectively and efficiently as possible, while supporting the business in its wider goals, such as ensuring we are working with sustainability in mind at all times.”

Managing director of Lakes Mike Gahir said: “Kevin has hit the ground running and we are really excited to see how his experience and skills benefit Lakes and our customers.”

The Lakes board recently completed a management buy-out of the business, as well as securing a £3.75 million fund to meet customer demand and changing trends in bathroom and shower designs.
