Moores Furniture Group has welcomed Harrison Glover, a Product Design student at York St john University, to conduct a work placement.

Kitchen manufacturer Moores Furniture Group has welcomed Harrison Glover, a Product Design student at York St john University, to conduct a work placement in its product engineering team.

As part of a 12-week placement with the kitchen manufacturer, third-year student Harrison Glover will work with product engineers and designers to create a new type of unit, which will come to market later this year.

Product design engineer Jack Harrison  will guide Glover throughout his placement.

He commented: “As part of the collaboration, Harrison will have the opportunity to learn about how Moores design, develop and manufacture kitchens.

“Moores are very supportive toward nurturing young talent, helping students and apprentices alike to add valuable experience to their portfolio by gaining experience with an established British brand. We can’t wait to see Harrison’s progress over the next 12 weeks.”

West Yorkshire-based Moores has recently celebrated its 75th year of trading.
