Extraction appliance manufacturer Novy UK has appointed Alison Mackie as channel manager – KRT (Kitchen Retail Trade).

Reporting directly to country manager, Owain Harrison, the role has been newly created to build on the success of the business since the brand’s official launch at KBB Birmingham in 2018.

Mackie was formerly head of sales – KRT at Miele, where she worked for 10 years having started with the company as manager of the London Experience Centre.

She began her career in the KBB sector as a qualified home economist, working for Hotpoint as a regional trainer, and then moved into a sales role managing a field based team for Cadburys.

While focused on South Midlands and the South-East regions, Mackie will also be overseeing the network of Novy’s Premium Innovation Partners throughout the UK and Ireland.

With strong experience in developing long-running relationships with retailers, she also brings with her an understanding of the importance of product demonstration and training.

Country manager of Novy UK Owain Harrison said: “We are extremely pleased to be announcing Alison Mackie’s appointment as Novy UK’s channel manager – KRT.
