Whirlpool UK Appliances Limited, the home of Hotpoint, Indesit, Whirlpool and KitchenAid brands, has appointed Paul Davis as contract channel manager.

He brings 35 years of experience in the appliance industry to his new role, having started out as a sales representative for a distributor, before joining Merloni (the previous owner of the Indesit brand) and progressing through the ranks to national sales manager.

Following this, Davis became managing director of Contract Appliances Limited, working with housebuilders as a distributor of appliances.

He joined Whirlpool UK nine years ago and his previous role within the business was working with independent retailers.

Now, as manager of the contract channel, Davis is able to leverage his past experience to lead the team.

Commenting on his role, Paul Davis said: “The contract channel is such an important area of an appliance manufacturer’s business and I am pleased to be working closely with housebuilders once again.

“My previous experience means I have worked on both sides of the fence, so to speak, which means I understand housebuilder’s needs and requirements.

“Having worked in the appliance industry for 35 years, I hope to ensure Whirlpool UK’s brands are specified in a growing number of new build homes and I look forward to making the most of my new role.”
