Bath-based bathroom supplier Roper Rhodes has appointed Chris Vallance as group sales director, following Leigh Leather taking on the managing director role at the end of last year.
Vallance has spent over 30 years in the bathroom industry, 20 of those years were with Mira Showers.
He held a number of positions in both sales and marketing, with the shower manufacturer, ultimately becoming national sales manager.

He left Mira in 2008 to join Salamander pumps as sales and marketing director and, in his time at the company, Vallance helped to more than double the turnover and deliver a four-fold increase in profits.
An experienced board director, Vallance joins Roper Rhodes to oversee the further development of the sales team and to deliver on the business’ growth aspirations in the next three to five years.
Chris Vallance commented on his new role: “Roper Rhodes is very much a performing business, and a business that I have long admired from the outside looking in.
“It has excellent sales and marketing teams, with a strong new product development track record and ongoing ethos of putting the customer at the centre of what they do.
“My primary focus will be around delivering on the strategic plans of the business, with a focus on customer satisfaction, while supporting and developing the sales function.”
Managing director of Roper Rhodes Leigh Leather said: “I’m really pleased to welcome Chris to the team, we have taken our time over the recruitment for this vital role and saw lots of strong candidates.
“Chris is a great fit and has masses of experience, I look forward to working with him to achieve our ambitious objectives”.
