Griffiths will be responsible for delivering the growth plans the business has over the coming years, building a sales team of business development and key account managers and taking the lead on some national accounts.

He will be growing the business, which includes lighting for kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms, including the “slimmest LED mirror in the marketplace” launched at Kbb Birmingham in 2020.

On his appointment, Griffiths said: “I’ve grown up in this industry and kbb is my passion. I’ve had the pleasure of representing some great brands in my career and I’m delighted to be joining the business at a hugely exciting time and hope my knowledge and experience can continue to drive the business forward.”

With a career in senior operations roles, Simons has extensive experience within production, supply chain, quality and distribution overseeing major departmental installations and business integration and re-organisations.

As operations manager, he is now responsible for all operational functions of the business heading up the supply chain, quality, distribution and customer experience teams.

Managing director at Sensio Michael Linsky said: “Both Gareth and Ian bring significant expertise to our team.

“Gareth’s spent his entire career working with major brands within the KBB industry.

“He brings with him a wealth of experience in growing and leading large sales teams which is essential for us in this stage of Sensio’s growth to continue to support our customers.

“Ian is now well settled into his role of operations manager and is already making significant improvements to our internal operations infrastructure.

We’re in a very fortunate position that after the difficult 2020 the industry found itself in, we’ve come through in a very strong position and these key appointments to the business are testament to the hard work of the whole team and a positive outlook for the future of Sensio which Gareth and Ian will help to lead.”
